CAS card

Here is a CAS card I made using just papers, a stamp and Nesties.
I bought the stamps from Hobbycraft's reduced bin. It is quite nice to make a simple card occasionally. This type of card is also good for using up scraps of paper that we crafters keep. I have a "bitty" box full!
I hope you like it

25th Anniversary card

O

One of the girls who works with my husband and daughter is celebrating her 25th Wedding Anniversary. She asked me to make a card for her husband. Cards and no hearts I was told.
For a week I couldn't think what to do. Eventually I decided on this easel card. The cars are from Kanban, coloured with Promarkers and I put Glossy Accents on the windows and lights. The sentiment is computer generated and I used Black Soot Distress Inks around the edge.

It's difficult to do a commissioned card as you don't know what the person really has in mind.. I just hope that it will be okay.

Anniversary card

This is a card I made recently for some friends for their anniversary. The papers are MME. Antique dots. I LOVE these papers and use them so much. We use them a lot in card club too.The butterfly is MS and it had then been distressed. The flowers are Wild Orchid crafts. I was pleased with the card apart from the girls hair, something green going on there. Doesn't look quite so bad in real life.
Hope yopu are all havinmg a good day

Magnoila wedding canvas

Earlier in the year I made some small Magnolia canvases, which I entered into the Magnolia magazine competition. Unfortunately I didn't get any where with them but a blogging friend, Samantha, commented on how much she like them. I knew she was getting married and so I made this for her as a wedding gift. We have never met but both realized that we stood next to each other at the trade show at the NEC in February watching Tim Holtz work his magic. I showed him my Grungepaper flower  and Samantha was there when he was looking at it. What a small world!
The canvas was from Hobbycraft and I coloured it with Promarkers and added Stickles to it. Samantha liked it. I hope you do to.
hugs Sarah

Yesterday and today I held lessons using Distress inks. I will post some pictures of the cards and tags I made.

Vintage style wedding card

This is the other wedding card I had to make on Friday evening. Yesterday card was for my M and F in law. This card was for my SIL.  IT was her friend who got married and all I was told was that she wanted a vintage style card.

So I made an easel card and used a LOTV image (gorgeous). I used my distress inks, MS punch, flowers from Wild Orchid and sentiment is a Magnolia stamp. I alsom added a pull out tag in a pocket but forgot to photo it!
Sorry the quality of the photos are so bad
have a good day
Hugs Sarah

Wedding card

Good morning everyone in blogland.
Here is a card I made for mi in laws for a wedding they attended on Saturday. It was made on very short notice. They rang on Friday night to ask for a card and were visiting 3/4 hour later to collect it!
I coloured the image with Grey Promarkers and edged the image and sentiment with Distress inks. The paperstock is MME.

I hope they liked it

Totally Gorjuss DT card #56

Oh dear. I'm late with my post. This should have been up yesterday. This is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss this week. The theme is traditional christmas colours
Now I don't celebrate christmas but I have still used the colours for my card. I know there are many other crafters out there who don't celebrate for whatever reason, but you can still join in the challenge. The card doesn't have to christmassy, as you can see with mine. Just use the colours
I have stamped mine on textured cardstock and then used my trusty Distress inks. Where would I be without them!
The image is from a set of stamps I bought at the NEC. The cardstock is MME. It is gorgeous.
I am looking forward to seeing your creations.

Hugs sarah X

p.s. Don't forget to join in with my blog candy and if you can spread the word that would be great too
There are 2 candies on offer
1 for whoever comments the most

1 for whoever is picked who has become a follower and left a comment

Back from the NEC

 Sarah, the owner of Hotshotcrafts
Wow what a great show the NEC was. It was so busy on the Hotshotcrafts stand. The new Papermania Woodland and Oriental ranges sold extremely well.

The best part was meeting up with blogging pals. so a big HELLO to
Brenda from Floral Fantasies Such a lovely lady. I was so excited to meet her that I completely forgot to tell her how gorgeous all her cards are
Dawn from Allpinkgirl. She is so Glam. And another lovely lady too. Thanks for the tips Dawn with the Inkidinks (and everything else I bought too) Your cards are stunning. It was lovely to see her family too.
Lynne from Stamp around the block. Yet another lovely lady. Lynne has a great digi stamp blog too Sentiments 4 you
Max from Scrappymax. So glad you made it to the show Max and looked me up. Max is special as she is the first blogging friend I met in person!. I met her mum too who enjoyed the cake show.
It was also great to see members past and present of my card making clubs . They were, Diane ( and her husband Norman), Maggie,Sarah, Karen, Mary and her daughter Janet, Jane, Daisy, Grace, Karen, Lydia and Cindy. The "colour blind" aunt and niece ( who I normally see at Ally Pally....sorry I can't remember your names. How bad of me but it was lovely to see both of you.)

Also hi to Lyndsey and Fern from Lyndseymariedesigns who owns a craft shop local to me

Mum and dad made it for the Sunday morning too.
The photos show the goodies I bought . I can't wait to start using them. And there are the Hotshot girls at 8 o'clock in the morning on Sunday enjoying a muffin and coffee before the show started!
Have a great evening. Keep warm
