Just Magnolia - punch it out

After having massive computer problems I am at last able to post my entry for Just Magnolia - punch it out.
I have used one of my new Spring collection Tilda's, which came this week. I have colured her with Promarkers. My papers are Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby, which I love.. The postcard is a stamp I bought at the NEC. The card I stamped it on was white but I colored it with Distress inks and the message behind Tilda is a Tim Holtz stamp I bought reduced.! I have used my Martha Stewart border punch and Leone Em leaf punch. The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts. They have a bit of glampur dust on them.
I am really pleased with how this card has turned out and wish the photos were better.

Pictures from Ally Pally and some challenges

Hi everyone. Hope you are enjoying this glorious weather. After last week trying to repair leaking roofs, this week we were pruning trees. So not a lot of time for crafting!!
I was at Ally Pally on Saturday. It was a lot quieter than The NEC or Olympia but we still sold a stack of Promarkers. I'm beginning to feel like the Promarker Queen!!!!!
Here are a few pics from the day, including my husband Michael ( he who hates all things crafty!!!) who was actually taking money for items and getting on very well with all the ladies. Hmmmm a bit of a charmer I think! He is with Sue who works on the Hotshotcrafts stand too.
It was great to meet up with Scrappymax. Hi Max. Hope you enjoyed the day. I will email you soon. There were a few others that I missed, Brenda and Lynne. Hope you both had a good day.
I did manage to buy, in one of my 10 minute- dash to the stand I like- buy what I want- get back again - moments, 2 LOTV stamps. One of them is posted here for some challenges.
Well I have a card lesson now and I am showing my ladies how to colour with distress inks. The cards below have been coloured this way. This is the first time I have coloured with them.

Totally Gorjuss DT challenge card - texture

Hi everyone

 Here is my card for this weeks challenge of texture over at Totally Gorjuss I was sorting out my craft cupboard toady and came across a packet of handmade papers. I have used this for my backing paper as it has a lovely embossed flower pattern. I have rubbed a brown ink pad over it to high light the embossing. The image is Mo Manning which I have coloured with Promarkers. I have cut felt flowers with a Sizzix die and then used a spacer and jewelled brad for the centre.

Hanglar and Stanglar newsflash

Hi everyone
just a quick post to let you know that I have found some Hanglar and Stanglar stamps for sale on Ebay. Now they are NOT cheap. £31.60 + £3 p.p for 4 stamps!! I regularly check for them and did manage to buy a stack of stamped images, although I'm not sure if that is legal so I didn't buy any more.

Just Magnolia - folds

It has been ages since I entered a Just Magnolia challenge. Here is my card. You had to have folds. I have put a card on a card. ( folds in the card blanks!)

 This card is for some friends celebrating their 50th Anniversary. They are not a fussy couple so I have kept the card very simple, hopefully elegant. I have used my new Nesties from the NEC and added a little Promarkers to the lovely Wedding stamp.
I would love to read what you think of this card.

Simon Says challenge - card for a child

I have made this card for the Simon Says challenge - card for a child. I have used the lovely Lily of the Valley stamp I bought at the NEC. I have coloured it with Promarkers. My papers are Basic Grey and I have added small buttons. I don't think a little boy would appreciate flowers!!!

Lily of the Valley meerts Magnolia!

I have made this card for the Lily of the Valley challenge. The theme is blue and silver. How gorgeous. The stamp is the wedding one I bought at the NEC in one of my 10 minute -dash to the stand I like-buy what I want-get back to my stand-shopping expeditions!
The tree stamp is a Magnolia stamp I bought at the NEC in one of my 10 minute -dash to the stand I like-buy what I want-get back to my stand-shopping expeditions!!

I have coloured them with a mix of Promarkers and Copics and then added Stickles. The blue backing paper is Basic Grey. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

2 Easel cards and an apology

Sorry I haven't commented recently on blogs I regularly visit but with all the shows and samples I have had to make recently, life has been hectic.I know how much I enjoy reading comments on my blog.
To top that Mike and I have been on the roof yesterday and today to try and cure just one of the leaks we have. Boarding, tubs of black sticky bitumen and roof felt is the closest I have got to crafting!!!! Hopefully we have solved that problem. Next is the conservatory roof, which leaks in several places (right in the TV in fact!!!). However that is a big job with the whole roof having to come off. We need a few dry days. Seems like an impossible job. I am fed up of having bowls and towels in the floor to catch the rain. Talk about an indoor water feature!!!!
Any way, here are 2 cards I made for card lessons this week. I have made them using an ordinary square blank card. I have folded one side in half to form the easel. My ladies seemed to like this easy method and the cards they made were amazing.

Totally Gorjuss challenge 24 - sketch

We have a fab sketch for you at Totally Gorjuss this week.
Here is my DT card. I have used a LOTV stamp that I bought from the NEC. The papers are Pink Petticoat. I have coloured the image with Copics which you can buy here.
I have added Stickles to the little girls dress and bow too.

Just Magnolia challenge - sketch

There is a great sketch by Jane over at Just Magnolia

Instead of using the usual Tilda and Edwin stamps I decided to use The Magnolia Wedding Cake stamp which I bought at the NEC.I have coloured it with Promarkers and added Crackle Accents to the ribbon and flourish swirl around the image. The flowers and pearl spray are from Wild Orchid. The paper is from K & Co..

NEC update and I met Dawny P!!!!!

A very tired hello to all of you, after doing 3 of the 4 days at the NEC.
I don't know how all the regulars do it week after week. And don't forget the setting up and the dismantling at the end. I helped Sarah breakdown the stand on Sunday.with Karen. Boy is that girl strong! and she's so thin too!!!
We were rushed off our feet the moment the doors opened on Thursday. We we aisle A stand 02 so we got a load of visitors. Each day I didn't demonstrate until about lunchtime so that I could help with the sale of the Promarkers. I have NEVER seen so many Promarkers.
I had the chance to say a quick hello to friends and ladies who come to my card lessons. Hi Sarah, Manda, Lyndsey, Grace, Daisy, Gail, Jane, Debbie, Diane and anyone else I have missed.
Unfortunately I never did get to meet Bev or Kim. ( I really hoped I would meet them as I LOVE their blogs)
However Dawny P came and gave me a hug and said hello. How exciting is that !!! We had a very quick chat about Copics.  I guess she must have seen my comment on my blog about being at the show. Dawny if you are reading this Thank you for making my day. It was just like meeting crafting Royalty!!!!!( I have just been over to Dawny's blog to create and link and even more excitement for me. She mentions me on there!!!!!Goodness I can't contain my excitement.
So no cards today ( I will post tomorrow the 16 Smirk cards I did on Wednesday evening) but here a a few photos from the show. Me working!!! and Storm Troopers who were obviously there to guard all our craft goodies ( actually there was a Memorabilia show but I like my idea better)
