Birdcage cards

These are 2 cards i made using the Xcut Birdcage 3 die. They are available at Crafty Devils
I coloured the cages with Distress Inks. The leaves were cut from a Sizzix die and i added a selection of flowers and gems to give the cards a bit of bling!

I used this die in my card classes and it proved VERY popular.

Tomorrow i will show you some wedding invites i made with a bride- to- be and her bridesmaids using the Xcut Birdcage  1 die

What can you do with a chipboard book?

We have in stock various designs of chipboard books with book rings.
You might think that all you can do is ...make a book. But why not make a wall hanging?
Items used are available from Hotshot Craft.
Here is one i made using just 3 of the pages of one of the books. (you get 4 pages with this book)
I have used Mod Podge to adhere the Strictly Party papers to the chip board. I have then Used Mod Podge over all the paper to give it a sheen and seal it.
The letters were die cut, embossed and then coloured with Pan Pastels, my new best friends!

Flowers and leaves were die cut from various card and Pan Pastels used to colour them.

The shimmer on the letters was created by brushing the Shimmer Mod Podge over it. In the Mod Podge starter pack you get 5 bottles- Sparkle, Original Gloss, Original Matte, Outdoor, and Paper Matte.
The ribbon at the top here was cream originally and i coloured it with Pan Pastels.

Why not have a go. If you can't find any of the items used on the web shop then please ring Hotshot Craft to order on 01902 716770

Special Wedding card and box

The daughter of my husband work colleague is getting married tomorrow and we have been invited to attend. We have known Sarah since she was a little girl and it is amazing to think that she is now getting married. So of course I had to make a special effort for their card.

This is the top of the matching box for the card.
 Card inside the box

I used the same layout as I did for my daughters anniversary card but just reversed it.  I also decorated the inside and made a matching box for the card.

I do hope they will like it.

Instead of a card this week I have made a Suitcase! I used this great Sizzix die and covered it with leatherette style papers and added a Tag "U.S.A" (they have the greatest craft shops there....only thing is my suitcase is way to small to bring back any goodies!)
