Far away in the sunshine.......

Here is a card I made with my ladies a few weeks ago. We used Distress inks, embossing powders, stamps, 1 die, Stickles and Liquid Pearls.
I think this card has quite a subtle effect to it.

Have a good day. Going out for lunch now with a friend! She makes the most gorgeous floral arrangements. Will pop a link to her soon.

Vintage style Paper mache Book blank

HI everyone
hope you are all well. I feel much better today. Not sneezing or coughing half as much although I look horrendous.
One of the good things about working with young children is they say what they think, good or bad. One little girl said "Miss, you don't look very well. You look pale" I said " I don't feel very well" Then she said " well I think you look beautiful, just like a flower".  Well you can imagine how that made me feel. There is no medicine available that can lift you up as much as that!

Anyway here is a little project I made for my demo at Hobbycraft last week. I bought a paper mache book blank and covered it with paper  and used Distress Inks around the edges.  Painted the inside with Acrylic paint and went around the edged with Gold Krylon pen. I cut out felt flower shapes from the Spellbinders Blossom die, the same die I used for the Wall Art project here. I inked up an embossing folder and put the cut pieces through my Big Shot. This give the "vein" effect on the petals. I edged the flower with gold Stickles. The leaves were cut with Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die and then covered with Crackle Accents.

This box can be given as a gift or used to put bits of jewellery in.

I hope you like my little project

Have a good weekend.  I am looking forward to Strictly and X Factor..............................

How are you? Tilda Magnolia card

Here is a card I made recently. Instead of "get well" or" best wishes" the sentiment is" How are you?"

I have used this gorgeous Tilda image.

Items used:
Colouring - Copics
Flowers, Wild Orchid
Sentiment - computer generated
Butterfly - Martha Stewart
Border punch - Martha Stewart
DP - Wild Rose Studio
Ribbon
Stickles

I didn't have enough of the DP to finish of the inside so I just did a panel with the matching border

Do you think this would cheer someone up?

Thank you for looking and your comments . I love to read them

Sending you lots of love

Good afternoon
Here is a card I made a while back. I don't think I have shown it before. I have used Distress Inks ( which I love). The base "stopper" was cut out from a Sizzix die . I have decoupaged the butterfly and Stickled it. I have also put some Stickles on some of the ferns

I really enjoy using Distress Inks. If you haven't tried them yet, give them a go. They are on offer here

Enjoy your afternoon

I havenmade up 5 drawers which I have stuck together . I have covered the sides with card and then with cardstock which has been edged with Distress inks. The handles have been made with ribbon.
The flowers were made with Tim Holtz Rosette die and the leaves are another Sizzix die. A few pearly floral bits and some Stickles and here is my little project.
I hope you like it

Say it with flowers

Hello to every one. It is my day off from school today and I am about to start the housework!
But here is a quick post and card I have made using one of the "cute squares" by LOTV. This was from a pack sent to me by the lovely Dawny from Pink Piggy. Thank you Dawny.
I have added Stickles to her wings and brushed it over the area to give a glitter shimmer. The "cute square" has been edged with distress inks
The Stickles that was still on my brush was then brushed over the flowers to give them a subtle shimmer
The mat of pink cardstock was distressed with a sanding block. The leaves were edged slightly with Distress inks

I hope you like this card.
Have a great day.
I think the bathroom is calling me to be cleaned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you look closely you can see i have spread Stickles over the wings so that they shimmer
I cut the butterfly out twice with a MS punch. The top layer is half of the butterfly. It was then edged with Vintage Photo distress ink
The flowers are from my stash and the image coloured with Promarkers
You can see the shimmer better here
