The new TotallyGorjuss challenge blog

Hi everyone
I hope you all know that the new challenge blog, TotallyGorjuss is up and running now. I am proud to be on the design team. Unfortunately due to technical difficulties ( I can't use a computer duh!!!)
I wasn't able to post a card for the first week's challenge but I will be submitting from next week.
Of course the one thing you have to do is use a Gorjuss girl stamp and this week the theme is PINK
Pop over and view the cards made by the other girls on the DT. They are really great and join in the fun too.

2nd batch of cards The Greetings Farm Anya and Ian

Hope you are all having a good weekend. It's a bit chilly but thankfully my heating is working again. Did you watch X Factor and Strictly last night?
Wasn't little Lloyd so cute when he went up to Cheryl when she was upset11 And what about Brendan protecting Jo when the judges were being unkind. Ah chivalry is not dead after all.
I am glued to Dancing with the Stars as my fave boy of all time Donny Osmond is in it. I even STOP card making to watch him. He is so good, not as good as some of the girls though. But I think he will be in for a few more weeks.
Well here are some more of my cards made for Hotshotcrafts to show at Glasgow and the NEC

Problems with Blogger uploading photos so I will post them as soon as possible

Get ready for a stack of cards!!!!!

Hi everyone on this wet and miserable day
To make matters worse I have just realized that my boiler isn't working so NO HEAT!!!!!
I now know what Scrappymax has gone through.

Well as my last post said Hotshotcrafts have now got the Anya and Whiff of Joy stamps and I have been busy making samples for the shows at Glasgow next week and the Nec next month. Unfortunately I wont be at the Glasgow show as I will be on a family holiday in Portugal, hopefully in some warmer weather. We are going with Mike's Mum and and dad, his sister, his brother and wife, and 2 little ones aged 2 and 9 months and of course the 4 of us. Let you know how we get on when we get back.

Anyway as there are soooooooo many samples I think I will post them in batches as I wouldn't want to give anyone craft overload( Ha Ha - as if that would bother any of us!!)
Please leave a comment as I love to hear from you and if your not already a follower please feel free to join. I am trying to join all those I regularly look at too.

MoJo Madness 107 contest

Good afternoon everyone. First 2 lots of good news.

1. My son Daniel, as regular followers will know passed his A level Art with an 'A' this summer, is to be awarded a prize at the Schools Presentation evening at the end of October at Walsall Town Hall. The Art Award is only given to one pupil per year and he is to receive it. As you can imagine we are very proud of him.
2. I have been asked to be on the DT of a new challenge blog called Totally Gorjuss.
I'm really looking forward to that.
Now on to my entry for the Mojo Madness contest.
There was a sketch to follow and I have used a Tilda sitting a on a knife and fork ( as you do!!!) image coloured with Promarkers.
What do you think?

Passion for Promarkers week 20 any colours and a recipe

Good day
I hope everyone is well out there in craft land. I think the past few days the temperature has dropped, don't you? Maybe that's why I have felt a bit down. A few weeks in hot sunshine might help!!!!!
Thankyou to all those of you who I met at Ally Pally and have since been in touch via my blog. It really is lovely to hear from all of you and also for the lovely comments from everyone.
I have had a lot of people ask about my card and scrap booking lessons. If you want to know more please get in touch by email. My address is on my side bar
Well here is my card for the PFP challenge. I have used some of the new colours. For the challenge you had to use papers, My Minds Eye), 3 shapes ( cut with Nesties and freehand) and a ribbon. I have used some glaze on the flower heads and a flat backed gem in the middle of the flower. I have used distressing inks on the card again.
Thank you for looking

You're Anya

The Anyone for Anya? challenge is a good one this week. You just have to make card with any Anya or GF stamp that represents you the most.

I chose this stamp from the Anya collection because it involves SHOPPING!!!. Of course the bags are full of crafting goodies with maybe the odd piece of chocolate!!!!!

The image is coloured with Promarkers and I have used my Nesties for the image and its mat and also for the ribbon tag. The word is made from Papermania alphabet stickers and the arrow from a Sizzix die. The gems are flat backed ones stuck with glue dots.

Please let me know what you think of it.

By the way the Anya stamps are now available at Hotshotcrafts. Get them quick before they sell out.

Which Anya are you?

Just Magnolia challenge week 25 - Flowers

Let's try again. THIS is my entry for the Just Magnolia challenge and this time (please see my last post) I have definitely added a hand made flower!!

The images are from the latest Magnolia Yummy Tummy range which I have coloured with Promarkers and then distressed with Rangers Distress inks. I have masked one stamp over another . If you don't know how to do this I have put a tutorial on my side bar. I have used my Nesties to cut the red strips on the left hand side which I have then sanded. The flower was made from three sizes of the Retro flower punch and these pieces were sanded too. The paper is My Minds Eye and finally I have added a bit of bling. I'm really pleased with this. Not too much and not too little. What do you think?

Just Magnolia week 25 Flowers

This is my entry for the Just Magnolia challenge. The theme is flowers. So the paper has flowers on it and I have added paper flowers too. The image of Tilda has been coloured with Promarkers. I have put 3 tabs of ribbon down the side of the image. It's been ages since I've used ribbon like this on a card. ( Guess you might see more of this in future cards!!!)
Happy card making

p.s. I am withdrawing this card from the challenge as it should have hand made flowers on it. Where are my glasses..... again!!!!!.

I will resubmit later with a new card

Dare you 2 dig challenge #22

Second post of the day
I have been feeling a bit down the last few days. Fortunately I still had some interest in my card making, although it took me longer than normal to do anything. I made this little bag which I thought I could enter into the DY2D challenge. The box is very easy to make., especially if you have a scorepal.
The challenge requires a digi image, which I have used from Digistamp Boutique, formally Grabadoodledo. This has been coloured with Promarkers. The die cut/ Punch shapes are the Oval Nesties I used for the image and it's mat and the punching on the lid and handle. I used a Martha Stewart border punch for this. I aged the box slightly with distress inks. The handle is held in place with brads.

These bags are so easy to make

TIP... Make a batch of blank boxes in various colours ready to decorate when needed.

You may see more of these on my blog. I just hope you don't get fed up of them.
If you make one please send me a picture of it.

By the cute and Girly

There's a new blog called By the Cute and Girly that Scrappymax introduced me too.
It looks really good.
The first challenge it to create something with an Autumn feel. I have chosen to make a recipe box with autumn colours.
The image on the front is a Magnolia cupcake stamp which I have coloured with some of the new Promarkers.
I have set an eyelet in the lid and threaded some ribbon through. I will eventually add a magnetic clasp. I have a pack somewhere in my mounds of stash ...........
I used distress inks around the image and cut the shapes out with my Nesties.
Almost looks good enough to eat!!!!
See ya

2nd post today - C.C. Designs stamp

Here is one of the cards I promised I would show that I have made using my new stamp from C.C. Design.
Papers are from my stash and the image is coloured with Promarkers. The flowers are from my stash too.
I quite liked the colour scheme fairly simple. What do you think?
