Totally Gorjuss challenge - HAPPY!

Its a lovely day here in Wolverhampton. I have all the family and some friends over for dinner tonight. We have roast Pork, Roast Lamb, Chicken and vegetarian Roast. Plus all the veggies and puddings too. Do you want to join us?

My card is a "Happy Everything" card I made for son. He loves monsters ( even though he is 21.....and can still be a monster at times too!)

An anniversary card

It was the anniversary of some friends recently. This is the card I made for them. It is along the lines of a card Sue Wilson made on Create and Craft.
I was really pleased with how it turned out.
The backing paper was embossed and then sanded to show through the blue core colour.

 

 

I would also like to say "HELLO" to my new followers. I have joined a lot of new blogs too and am amazed at the number of talented people in blogland.

I can't believe it ... I won!

I was busy looking for light bulbs on the internet ( I lead a very exciting life!) and got a bit bored so decided to look at my blog. I was SHOCKED and so surprised to see that I had won the $50 voucher! Thank you sooooooo much Simon Says Stamp.

Tilda Get well Soon card

Here is a card  made for my MIL who had emergency operation recently. She is doing fine now thank fully but it was a worry for the family.
I used this gorgeous Tilda with a bunch of flowers image and added Stickles to the flowers.

This card is also on the Hotshot Craft blog as we start challenge #2 today - Easel cards. I hope you will join us. You made challenge #1 an amazing success with 105 entries!!!!!!!

2nd post of the day! Big, Bold and Beautiful

I have been busy sorting out my wardrobe and drawers of clothes I don't wear any more( truth is I don't fit in them any more!!!!!)

 Do you ever wish you hadn't started?! So to break up the boredom of tidying wardrobes I thought I would do another post. I made these cards using some bright card blanks I had free in a magazine. There was no way I would use them as card bases but they make great, bright and bold flowers and leaves don't you think?

These are in my Etsy shop. 
Has any one got any tips on selling on Etsy? I have had my shop since May. Only 1 real sale (for which I am grateful) The other was daughter who felt so sorry for me! I have noticed many newer shops doing quite well so am I doing something wrong?  Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated

Custom ordered jewellery

just thought I would show you an order I had to make a necklace for a girl at work. (She comes to card classes too) . She had bought a memory wire bracelet from me with these beads but wanted a necklace to match. So I made 2 and she chose the one in the top pictures.

This is the second necklace which will now be for sale in my Etsy shop (£7)

For someone special - Totally Gorjuss DT card # 111

 A welcome to you

hope you are all well this week. My MIL is improving. She had the staples removed from a 10 inch scar!and found that to be very painful. Now my dad is quite ill. He may have to go into hospital. He has had a very bad water infection. He had one last year and ended up in hospital on an intravenous antibiotic.Though it is bad again this year the Doc is more concerned with his struggling to breath. He may need to have oxygen. I spoke to him on the phone and was shocked at how bad he sounded. He is 86.My mum (70) is partially disabled so between them they rely on each other a lot. There is nothing nice about old age is there?!

My goodness it is cold. I think I should be living somewhere like Florida or the Caribbean!

Never mind WOYWDW... how about What's on my floor Monday! (WOMFM)

I have often seen blog posts about "What's on your work desk Wednesday?"  but I have a new one " What's on  your floor Monday?!!!!!"

I spent approximately 7 hours  Monday Evening cut up HUGE pieces of card into 12 x 12 and A4 pieces. Let me tell you my neck, shoulders and back are still aching....badly!

Why? I hear you ask. Because shortly I will be opening up an internet shop selling die cuts ready for you to decorate yourself as well as Sizzix and Stix 2 anything products

You will be able to buy die cut:
bags, boxes, album covers, flowers etc

Elegant Invitations

This is the card I made which I am entering into challenges.

 Thought I would show you some cards I had my ladies making in Card lessons a few weeks ago. I am making these as Wedding Invitations although they can be used for  any occasion. My ladies put die cut flowers inside.  Should have taken a photo of that!!!!!
We call  the red one the "Argentine Tango", as the colours remind us of the dance from Strictly Come Dancing. How I would love to dance like them. Unfortunately I would be more like Ann Widdecombe!

They have done a great job. Dont you think?

Totally Gorjuss -10 - Let it snow

What an appropriate challenge for some living in the UK at the moment. It is very cold here in the midlands but no snow.....yet!
