A selection of my work

Here is a small selection of some of my cards and projects. I put them out when I have new ladies starting the classes to show them the kind of things they will be making. Of course like all of you in blog land there is a lot more. Where do we put all these things? I do sell some and give some away and give lots to local charity shops and the school for the Gala. I think I need a bigger house!!!!!

Totally Gorjuss Dt card challenge 43

Here is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss. Our theme this week is AQUA. Our sponsor is Lily of the Valley, how exciting is that!!!
So come on. Lets see what you can do . If you have got a LOTV stamp please use it but it isn't necessary to enter.
Once again the DT have some super cards for inspiration.
 As you know I am a Sizzix addict so I had to add some Grungepaper Tim Holtz wings cut from a Sizzix die.
Here is what I used

I think it looks a bit like a Grunge Fairy card. I hope you like it

Craft at Lidl!

If you have a Lidl by you get there quick. My mum rang me to say they had 12 x 12 cardstock at only £2.49 each. I went straight away ( I always do what my mum says!). There were only a handful left. 3 designs

1. Autumn/Halloween
2. Floral/romatic
3. Party/birthday

The quality is fantastic. They are all double sided and some are glittered too.There are 7 sheets  ( 14 sides) per pack.
The other pad has 30 sheets of a mixture of 250g/m card stock and vellum.

I have taken a photo of a few of the pages to give you some idea what you get.

"Love" Card

Here is a very easy card to make.
First I covered the front of a card blank with some Basic Grey paper. I jthen cut out some flourishes with a Sizzix die, made a flower from my 3D flower Sizzix die and Mirri board and added an Organza bow. Finally I added the " Love" sentiment ( also a Sizzix die....do you see a theme here?!) And Voila!

Having a Tim Holtz moment

Recently I had a bit of a Tim Holtz moment. I did a class using the distress inks. I coloured some luggage tags with distress inks and added some Stickles Rock Candy and Glossy Accents.

For this tag I used distress inks and then spritzed water over the top and left it to dry.

On the tag with the spectacles I have added Sepia Glossy Accents to the lenses. On both tags I have used a variety of stamps.

I have used a die cut flower as a mask on this tag.

Here I have added blobs of Glossy Accents on the tips of the crown

The crown here as Rock Candy on it.

The flowers on this tag were actually coloured with Distress Inks staright from the ink pad with a water brush.

Wedding Anniversary blog winner

Well I can reveal the winner of my Wedding Anniversary blog candy. It was a close call. I counted each persons comments from the day the candy started, 30th July until  Monday 9th August.

 This is a present Our kids bought us. It made me giggle when I saw it. Not so sure that "Hugo" (Michael) found it so amusing though!
I will be on holiday soon but when I get back I will be putting up some Blogaversary candy. I am really late with this as my blogaversary was April!!!!!! Better late than never!

who's Hugo?

It was our 28th Wedding Anniversary yesterday and thank you to everyone who sent us best wishes. We went to a friends house foer a Jamaican meal and our other friends who will celebrate their 25th on Monday were there too.
This is the card I made for Michael. The first thing he said when he opened it was,
"Who's Hugo?"
"That doesn't say Hugo" I said " It says Hugs"
At least he liked the cars on it. Here is a picture too of the flowers he sent me ( so I will be adding a bit more to my Anniversary candy).
I was impressed that he had visited my friend Tracey who does floristry and ordered and then later collected these gorgeous flowers. So I will forgive him for saying "Who's Hugo?"

Aren't the flowers beautiful?
We have just been for a Chinese lunch with my mum and dad. It was delicious.

Wedding Anniversary Blog Candy

Some cute stamps. 2nd post of the day

Here are more kanban samples. I really Love using the stamps of the little girl with the dog. They are soooo cute.. I will post the last few samples nest week. ( Aren't you glad about that!!!)
